Today I did my longest run to date at 13K. I’d be lying if I said it was easy, my route is fairly hilly and I think I experienced 4 seasons in one run between icy rain, ferocious head winds and also lovely bright sunshine at times!
Last week I had some unexpected free time in Nottingham and found myself in Up and Running (🙄🤫) and bought myself a Camelback hydration belt. I used it on today’s run and it was worth every penny, barely even noticed I was wearing it which I was worried about having seen some very bulky ones on amazon.
Also tried one of my torq gels for the first time, Cherry Bakewell flavour was yummy and definitely gave me a boost for the last 5K.
Also had to stop a couple of time to stretch out around my left hip, so that needs some work this week . . .

Going to add some extra hip and lower back stretches onto my yoga today! The rain shower toward the end was very welcome, cooled me down for the last 4K!
Thanks! I’ve heard a lot of people favour bananas, unfortunately they just don’t agree with me. The gel I used was a torq one, they come in some very interesting flavours!
