A nice easy recovery 5K run this evening and some lovely sunshine and birdsong!

Following my harder interval training session yesterday I thought that I would go on an easy recovery run today to shake out my legs and just to get out the house for an hour (plus I've decided to run 4 times a week instead of 3 now)! Nothing too difficult just an easy comfortable pace although there were a few hills I had to run up, oops! I ran a bit troubled for the first part of the run, my mind just mulling over things but those thoughts eventually quietened down and I eventually got into my mental groove. The highlight of my run was the smell of freshly cut grass when I ran past some lawns! It's one of my favourite smells so it brought a smile to my face! Going to do some sort of strength workout tomorrow and then long run on Friday - I'm kind of just making up my training at the moment so I haven't really decided how long my long run will be yet, I'm torn between 8K or 10K...anyway, happy running everyone! :-D

Good run for you today, its up to you on how long your long run should be.

I am going to post a photo of the cello section of where I go to listen to concerts.

It's great making it up as you go along after having been tied to a rigid plan, isn't it? Which shoes are you running in now RC?

It's so nice to have a break from a plan and just to run and work on different things, so refreshing! I am currently still running in my old ones but am planning to phase them out slowly. Going to do my shorter runs in my new ones and then my longer ones in my old ones and go from there I think :-)

You are doing very well, but remember to have rest days to let your body recover properly..

You seemto be really enjoying it all :)

Run gently and you'll be ok to run 4 times a week If we run shorter distances and are not stressing our bodies we’ll be ok. With all races cancelled we can tick over

Unless things get stricter 😕

So true! I really hope things don't get stricter, running is the thing that is keeping me sane at the moment! :-D

Happy running to you too RC, that sounds just lovely. I love the smell of freshly cut grass too, always reminds me of my childhood and dad cutting our grass 🥰
