A friend from another forum messaged me this. I didn't get an email about it, so check if you haven't seen. I don't know what i will do if they don't have bag drop. I don't have family or friends there to leave stuff with. I can stow everything else on my person while I'm running, but I do need a warm jacket to put on after the race. Others will no doubt have the same problem:

Joster posted here too last night healthunlocked.com/marathon....
I tried to tag you but maybe it didn't work.
It did tag, but I only have email notifications for chat - otherwise it beeps incessantly. Seen it now. Should be interesting to say the least!
I'm thinking to leave my bag in the car. It's a 15 min walk from the finish, but looking at the forecast I think I'll more likely make that a 10 min run 🤪
Or two minutes if the wind is behind you!
I'm a bit peed off - I wasn't looking for a fast race here, just a nice medal and a chance to run with my head up soaking in the sights and the crowd. Wind and rain will probably reduce the crowds and I'll have my head down hiding from the elements (else I won't be able to see through my glasses at all)! Is the medal alone really worth the entry fee🤔 Hey ho! Will have a more positive head on by Sunday I'm sure 😂
Yes, I was looking forward to running round the historic inner city. It may not be that bad. It will certainly be an adventure. Would a peaked duckbill type running hat help with the glasses problem? It certainly kept the rain out of my eyes in the oxford half
I do have a cap but it's not great in the wind!
Really sorry. I only wear glasses for reading etc so don’t have that problem. Mind you, I don’t see the world pin sharp anymore
Mine too ! so i secure it with a headband. It fits snugly over the cap and my ears

I was wondering if I should tie a scarf under my chin 🙄Your solution looks a tad smarter!
I know it’s difficult if they don’t have a bag drop. I’ve a run Sunday round the Great Orme in Llandudno, forecast is very stormy. Hope it’s postponed. Good luck Flick 😀😀🏃🏽♀️
Crumbs, do be careful! Xx
Storm Ciara is going to cause a lot of problems this weekend, especially for running events on Sunday, parkruns shouldn't be affected as the worst of the winds won't be until later on Saturday night and into Sunday, it is unusual for the Met Office to issue a wind warning for the whole of the UK but that's what is happening this weekend.
It would not be very pleasant Flick running against a Force 8 gale, there is always the danger of falling trees etc, I am not sure if your London Winter Run will go ahead with that forecast which is a pity as you and all the other runners have been training for it over the last few weeks.
Oh dear...I am praying for good weather for you Hidden xx
Thanks FlickM3, it’s quite frustrating if the event will be changed due to the storm but I tend to find that London fairs well in the worst of the weather due to the high buildings. The crowds of runners around us will offer some protection too. Fingers crossed it’s going to be OK 😢
I was thinking that too, about being sheltered by the buildings. Fingers crossed for all of us
I’m really hoping everything turns out ok for all of you. I can’t even begin to imagine the disappointment if it’s cancelled, or the weather is simply too bad to enjoy it.
Keeping things crossed for you. 🤞🤞🤞🤞
I’m going if it’s not cancelled x
Remember that Met Office's job is to put the Fear of God into idiots. It may not be as bad as they say. Don't run with a high-sided pair of tights.
High sided tights? Visions of tottering round in stilettos and fishnets 😂😂😊
