It's been a while since I've been on HU, so I thought I'd post an update.
I found that 6k was too much for me at the moment (seemed OK when I was running but I was shattered the following day). Anyhow, built up to being able to comfortably run 4k (slowly), on Monday, Wednesday & Friday, on Saturday, helped out at Parkrun, worked out in the gym, went ice skating and broke my wrist.
I've managed a couple of visits to the gym since then, using an exercise bike and then a running machine to try to maintain fitness. So far I've avoided running outside with my arm in plaster because I'm worried about slipping and doing further damage (I'm aiming to get to almost full strength for the ski trip on 1st Feb).
I'm thinking of trying a 4k tomorrow afternoon when the forecast says it should be dry.

Oh crikey! Words fail me .... Great to hesr from you. Your determination is amazing and will see you through to better times. In the neantime, speedy healing, good luck and do TAKE CARE out there 😍
Thanks Linda, 2019 is a year that I'm not going to forget!
I haven't been on here for a while so I'm glad to see you're back running. The way you maintained your fitness when you couldn't run is inspirational, especially now that I've got my arm in plaster.
I don't think I'm quite outnof the woods yet. The last 12k started up some geumbles and there's a definite tender spot at the fracture site again. So I'll be taking it one run at a time for a while yet I think. Still managing to cycle in between though which should help. Cycling is out for you just now, but there must be lots of leg and core exercises you can do 😀
That’s really bad luck and sounds painful. But it sounds as if you’ve been pretty active which has got to be good. Hope the run went well today and a happy Christmas to you 🏃🎄🙂
