1 month in of upping mileage and running in zone 3 for all runs bar one a week. Last month I did 100 miles which would usually really bother my legs, but with the very steady pace I’ve needed little recovery at all. Today I decided to see how my fast pace was going and I managed to run 4K (I think I could’ve done 5) slightly faster than my current parkrun PB pace which I cannot do usually when I’m running solo. So all in all, it looks like it’s working! My VO2 max also went up 4 points in the first 3 weeks although I take that with a pinch of salt tbh as it did seem very inaccurate at times. But I guess it’s an indicator. Looking forward to seeing what I can do next month and at the end of the plan which is the start of July 😄
