Oh hullo, me again ๐
Is it okay to use my knobbly massage stick on my calf muscles the day after a race? Calf muscles a bit tight after yesterdayโs shenanigans, you see. Donโt want to damage anything else now!

Hi Sadie, no wonder youโre a bit stiff! Iโve never used a massage stick but I canโt imagine it will do any harm๐ Sorry I canโt be more helpful. Iโd best leave it to others this time!๐
I used mine and on the advice from the experts here..did a very gentle..1K xx
Thanks Flossie. I might have a gentle walk rather than run though, as have sore knee from ITB friction. ๐ Doesnโt hurt when walking though. ๐ xxx
A day after marathon l rubbed in some of those tiger creams from Boots and walked for a few hours, looking zen-like dishevelled. Was ok in no time.
Tiger creams? Is that like Tiger balm? I am walking a little stiff legged today; I look like I have just got off a horse after a long day riding through the prairies. (But really, itโs not so bad, all things considered.) Will take a gentle stroll later - got to keep moving or risk seizing up altogether!
you could ring Alex and ask him
My physio said not to do any deep tissue massaging till 24-48 hours after. Nice short easy run or walk is best. X
Iโm glad you ask d this. I shall proceed with caution after mine xxx
Think it will be ok to use, after all itโs ok to have manual massages after races, hope it eases your poor muscles ๐๐
