Casa Loma run

[Decker]

Yesterday we had a destination run down to Casa Loma in the city. I was shooting for 25k, but had to cut my pre-run a little short in order to join the group on time, so it was a slow and steady 23.7 I think. Lots of new recruits in the group this week and a big breakfast at the end made for a great morning. Was famished on getting there. It is a long weekend here so everyone was very relaxed.

I will say this though, you might have nicer weather, friendship, beauty, joy and happiness.... but we have better castles! 😁 .. Actually that castle really does looks good. 😫 😭

Haha, no you are so right. This does not even qualify as a castle in the UK I think 😂 But its the closest we have for now. I love castles. Many years ago a buddy and I went to the UK and saw a few real castles in Scotland. St. Andrews is still one of the prettiest places I’ve ever seen.

It is a well run group and gets promoted largely through the MEC store events page and flyers in the store itself.

Yes, we did have some drama lately and our leaders have switched out, but there was enough momentum to continue for most of us and we have a few new serious trail people too so there may be some more cool trail runs to come. Our old leader started a new, more casual group too and I am hoping to join them on some runs in the future.
