Rainbow bridge run.

Today was a decent run. Finally made it out to the elusive rainbow bridge, which I have missed every time the group ran out this way. Weather was cool but not cold, and the trails were nice and shady over and around the Don River. Think we did around 12-13 k today. Our run leader is in Iceland for a marathon today. Now that sounds like a cool spot for a marathon!

Phew, I thought maybe you had suffered the loss of a beloved pet recently. We use this poem for many of our owners after they have to put a beloved pet down.

I’m glad it was literally, a lovely rainbow coloured bridge. Very nice 🌈

Oh wow, I’ve never seen that poem before. I wonder now if that may have had something to do with the painting on the bridge. I think it was originally done in the 60s and refurbished in the 80s.

Would love to run there some day. He mentioned it was only 4 degrees there!

What a great picture -I love that bridge! Have also heard of 'Rainbow Bridge' in context with losing a pet as mentioned by SaskAlliecat . It does have a '60's' look about it though!☺

The bridge had an interesting history and a pet memorial was part of it. I found a news article on it here thestar.com/news/gta/2012/1...

I updated my post but the HU system made a brand new post with all the comments removed!

...what an interesting story - seems as though nothing was going to remove the rainblow bridge...and as a self-confessed 'slightly crazy cat lady', I am glad there is a cat in the story too!🐱🙂
