Brilliant 7K run this evening! Buzzing now!

Okay, so I went on a what was meant to be a group training run with a running coach with the charity I am raising money for, but no one else turned up, so I had a free coaching session! We ran 7.2K in just under an hour but what was brilliant about it was that the route was part of the actual route I will be running in the Bath Half! The running coach also gave me loads of great tips about breathing, posture, getting rid of stitches, tackling hills and loads more which made my running significantly easier and more efficient! And it's so important to stretch properly after a run! I am now buzzing and can't wait for race day now, which is a month on Saturday! Yikes! (That's me on the left in the photo by the way!)

I also had my hospital review today and they said that they are not sure what was/is wrong and that they are not going to do any further investigations unless it crops up again because it's not really bothering me that much, I just have to keep an eye on it. I was expecting the doctor to advise me not to run the Bath Half but his actual words were 'Good on you, I see no reason why you can't run the Bath Half because you're not having any problems while running'. I am more relieved that I have been given the go ahead to run the Bath Half more than anything thing else to be honest! I will of course still listen to my body and be careful! Just relieved now! :-D

What fabulous luck! And a great run to boost your confidence again, brilliant. But tell me ... what's this talk of hills? I thought the route was flaaaaaatttttt? 😨

When I said hills, I probably meant small slopes. The course isn't completely flat but now I don't know what term to use hill or slope hahaha

Minor incline? I was hoping for nothing that required 'technique' 😍😍😍

Yeah, let's just go with that. I only used the word hill because my running coach referred to them as hills when we were going up them

Oh wow, fantastic Redcello, you look so happy. How wonderful having a private coaching session! Bet you were chuffed to pieces and it sounds like you got loads of great tips. 👏👏

But yes, as linda9389 said, what exactly do you mean by hills? 😱 Irishprincess did her recce this week and confirmed it was basically a flat course with a couple of minor inclines. Hills I can do, long runs I can do - together? 😩😱😩😱😩😅😅

Sorry, I felt like I have scared everyone my using the term hills. They are just small slopes on the course that's all.
