Epic disaster

Didn't wake up until 5.15am. Headed out at 5.50am but only managed 10K as exhausted from lack of sleep due to the humidity. Annoyed with myself for broadcasting I was doing a long run then not doing it. I have been for a swim and now chilling until I go out later. Should I have another go at doing the 14miles tomorrow or wait until Sunday?

Do you have time to eat before running? I need to eat at least an hour before a long run. You seem to have been up and out in 35 minutes.

If it wasn’t too strenuous you could try tomorrow.

If I had been awake early enough I would have eaten but just had a One Fibre bar like on the TV but Asda's own and sis tab dissolved in water just wanted to get out. It was hard work because it was still warm and my feet hurt so thinking I will leave it until Sunday depending on how my feet are in the morning but I am determined to get the mileage done this week so I can keep on track.

You’re doing great Pippa! Looks like it’s cooling down from tomorrow. Good idea to wait til Sunday too.

I know how you feel. I have not managed any runs longer than 10k this week so will try again at the weekend. I was thinking of going early this morning but had such a poor night with the heat and storms, I slept later instead which is important for recovery. Hopefully we will have an easier time at the weekend.
