And a hot one it is. Next time I’m taking a drink.

So, down the Drayton Road, then off past the scary estate where they have CCTV on the streets because everyone is naughty. Then along the Thames and back via the river Ock, all light and dappled shadows, sparkles on the water.

So embarrassing running really slowly when I had to stay in zones 1/2. I saw another runner and speeded up briefly, pretending I was going that fast all the time, then had to crawl along to get my heart back under control! How vain am I!

I’ve got the hang of this heart rate zones malarkey, when your heart rate goes too high, you stop and take a photo.

55min, 4.88k (55minutes to do less than 5k for heaven’s sake!), av pace 10.47min/km, max pace 6.58min/km(that would be when I passed the other runner!), av HR 121bpm, max HR 137bpm, min HR 93bpm, 295 cal

I like the photo zone strategy.

Zone 5 will have to be stop for a photo and a sup of water.
