This is the second time I have done this local event....funny that I had forgotten how undulating it is...all the way round! That aside, this is actually a lovely run, well organised and starting and finishing on the beautiful village green. The 10k and 5k runners both set off together and later after race prizegiving there was a children's colour run!π
I was a couple of minutes slower than last year - not a surprise considering I have had a few niggles lately and am just back to running my 10ks. Overall very pleased with myself ππand a nice shiny piece of bling to celebrate!

Excellent. Very well done π Sounds like a lovely run - undulation aside. What a lovely way to make your mark again after so many unfortunate interruptions to your running this year. What next? π
Thanks Linda. I do have a few plans....the London Vitality 10k next Monday , a local 10k in September and the Great South Run (of course!) in October. It is almost inevitable that I will try for a second HM in the autumn too, I just have to decide which one!
That all sounds great - lots to look forward to. I beat my GSR time by 6 minutes yesterday so would definitely like to give it another shot. There are just soooo many race options in October though aren't there. I'd like to try the Chester metric marathon next year - 2020 - but it's about two weeks before GSR so I might have to wait til 2021 for GSR
Your star has definately been in the ascendant since the GSR, so I am not surprised at all! I am hoping I am on an upwards trajectory now myselfπ€although I don't look forward to the heat of the summer (much prefer autumn and winter running!)π
Whoop whoop! Well done! Nice bling too π........ooh Iβve always fancied a colour run....although OH says he wouldnβt let me in the car afterwards....worried about the mess.......not that he cleans the inside that often anyway.......π...
