So. After an easy week of very little running, the knee is improving to the point I think I can start building back up. An interval session with the coach on Wednesday went well, which is encouraging.
After a lengthy conversation with my other half (she's not keen on this marathon running lark) I've managed to negotiate a compromise that has me aiming for the Leicester marathon in October (I'd already signed up for the half, swapping to the full marathon was easy). The coach is on board, although we're umm 'discussing' how much running I'll be doing each week.
Focusing on speed work to begin with to mix it up a bit (falling nicely in line with the speed challenge!) then a 10k reasonably soon and a HM in July. If Lauren gets her way and I end up with more cross training I might try to sneak a crack at a triathlon in somewhere too.
I've also signed up for the Seagrave Wolds Challenge 16 mile trail run again in November.
