After missing yesterday's HM (which everyone is talking about today at work 😣) my plan is to start over. Slow short runs 2/3 times a week and continue with the physio. I will do the HM distance.....

Pete, anyone who runs will have missed planned races due to injury or illness at some time - it is part of the journey, so don't beat yourself up over it and ignore any less-than-sympathetic comments. I had to abandon my plans for a HM in March following ill health during the winter - I just wasn't ready for it!😩 You are doing the right thing and that future HM will taste all the sweeter for it! Keep running! 🙂
Yesterday wasn't too bad. I'd resigned myself to the fact my old aching body wasn't up to it. Today I really feel like I missed a great event. I'm now looking at how I run and train. I must be doing something not quite right to get injuries all the time.
