Congratulations to all that have completed events this weekend. I’ve been inspired and tomorrow I’m switching my running plan to HM for November 3rd... I’m currently up to 5.5miles and there’s a few 10k races around here that I can do along the way. Thanks to everyone who has run events since my arrival here, I’ll be thinking of you guys for the next 23 weeks and 6 days!!
Here we go!: Congratulations to all... - Fun Beyond 10K & ...
Here we go!
Good luck for your forthcoming 10K runs and especially that Half Marathon on 3rd November, did you see the post from a lady who started with C25K only in January and today ran a half marathon, that certainly comes under the wow factor.
By the way I have now done 1,900 push ups since the first of May as part of your "100 push ups a day for a month challenge,". I took it easy today, I had a 3 minute break instead of the usual 2 minutes one as I did the push ups BEFORE breakfast, not the usual hour after. 😊
Wow. I’m thinking I’ll do the push up thing in June, but I know one thing for certain... I’m going to take a lot longer than 18-20 minutes to complete them... you’re awesome my friend.
Not seen that post yet... I must dig deeper... HM in 4 months is more than wow!
Wow that’s inspiring and well done. Are you posting a training plan as I wouldn’t mind following it too. That may push me into seriously going for the HM as it has been playing on my mind a lot lately. If not any advise or just sign up for one and use that group’s?
Great stuff! Don’t forget your skort, we’ll expect pictures......😉😱🙀🏃♂️😂

Yeyayayayya and you're on the way !! You are so going to love it As Madge says.. skort will be essential skin tight pink Lycra
Plenty of 10K s too.. getting you into the mood
Pink Lycra? Where did that come in? 🤣🤣
Yeah, first training 10k is this week... and I’m gonna run it on my birthday, so I’m going to look to take in a couple of them on my way to get used to running in a bigger crowd than parkrun.
What time does NRC reckon you can achieve?
Just had to look... 2:39. My average pace maybe slightly skewed by having a few parkrun tailwalks/runs in there. To be honest, if I finish before it goes too dark I’m gonna be happy... starting at 11 I should be ok 🤣
Excellent! That's your summer sorted then 😀 plenty of time to train to HM. Enjoy 🙂
Well done! It seems we have some contagion setting in! You've got plenty of time to follow the HM plan between now and then. No worries.
Talking of contagion, I ran the Helsinki City Run HM yesterday and my daughter promptly decided to sign-up for it for next year (2020 early bird super cheap offer 32€). She's still on week 3 of C25K but at 19 years of age she is probably going to leave old Dad for dust next May 16th!
Well done. Hang around these forums long enough and it will get you in the end!
