Just received an e-mail telling me that it's now March 2022.
The only consolation from my point of view is that I now have my first events in order: Ultra, FM, HM. This may, of course, change but that's how things stand today.

Sorry to hear about the postponement SkiMonday . However I love your sort of logic. It's like my thinking: a maratrail with silly elevation should be easier than a flatter road course, because I don't have to race in front of a whole bunch of random strangers telling me to go faster, I just have to get round and hopefully enjoy the scenery!
Arggggggghhhhh no, not again SM! Just checked my emails, and yes there it is. Crikey, one day I’ll run Bath! I’m not doing any more virtual HMs thank you very much! Maybe I’ll see if Bristol’s going ahead, although I’m already doing the Bristol 10k and the courses are similar. Waaaaaa.
I still can’t comprehend your Ultra and FMs! Can’t wait to hear how those go. 😀
What a pain Munks. Last week I had even told my husband not to book a little getaway at the same time ☹️
Still, they can’t really do much else at this stage and I guess they’re giving us lots of warning.
I can’t remember if I entered Bristol or not. They do have an HM option...
Just checked and yes I had entered the Bristol HM for 19 September! Is the 10K on the same day?
Yes IP, I just checked and it’s on the same day ...... I wonder if I can switch to HM? I’d love to run a real HM race! 😀
If not Bristol what about Severn Bridge?
There’s a hideous hill at the Severn Bridge HM Week7 (maybe you’ve done it?) It’s a step too far for me; I need basically flat or lightly undulating for HM distance! I’m entered in the Severn Bridge 10k again though. That’s a lovely course. 🥰
No, I've never run in a race, either half marathon or 10k(except HU10k) .I just remember seeing the signs for it on the Bridge and thinking it looked like a "wonderful but unattainable" run not imagining I would ever run that kind of distance-now 10k seems normal and HM is within reach- C25k has a lot to answer for.
It sure does! Isn’t it great? 🥰 Yes you can certainly achieve HM. 👊
Well I highly recommend entering a race - maybe even the Severn Bridge 10k if it’s your local one. It’s basically out and back over the bridge, and they did an amazing job holding the event in a socially distant way last year. My only piece of “real” bling earned in amongst all my virtual ones! And Bristol’s great too, of course. 😀
My view too week 7! I have been told off for the comment mmm wonder if the virtual london marathon has any places. Thats a nice birthday present🤣🤣🤣Its all Michael johnsons fault x good luck for the weekend x
Frustrating SM, but likely will be the case for a lot of our events this year. I’m guessing mine my be postponed again too. But it’s not until Oct so we’ll see. At least there is order as you say!
Yes I’ve just had the same email ☹️ I’m destined not to do this race, it’ll be my fourth time of trying 🙄 hey ho ...
Oh wow! Did they say why?
Said there were too many unknowns (requirements for social distancing, spectators, vaccination certificates haven't been defined). With it being a large event, they won't have enough time to make all the arrangements. It's also affected by roadworks.
That’s a disappointment, so many people have been hoping for races with others this year after last years virtual races
I’ve just entered Run Through’s 10k at Cheltenham on 13 June yet the London Vitality 10000 has been postponed again. They have loads of real races scheduled. I can’t get my head round why some can go ahead and others can’t 🤷♀️
