Don’t know if it’s too soon to add, but I will be running the 10k charity race for British Heart Foundation at Blenheim on Sunday 30th September. I don’t think I will be dressing like Wonder Woman though. Erm, it probably is too soon to add, isnt it? Not that I’m excited or anything or that it’s my first race ...
Awe it's a lovely place to run Flick, just try not to be influenced by the pace of others. That was what I found hard during my first run. You will be great. You run Headington hill! 🙀🏃♀️ xx
I found park run daunting ... I haven't run Headington hill past Brookes yet, but i've done Morrell avenue and then up to Headington past the Churchill. I think it goes on longer but isn't as steep. I'm more scared of things like needing the loo at the start, losing my way, coming last, not making it round because i couldn't sleep the night before. I'm not really cut out for public running, but I'm doing it My daughter will be running it too, but she's faster than me so we won't go round together xx
Swansea Bay, nice and flat for my first. There is another very local, very un-flat 10k I may have a go at in a couple of weeks if I find my brave pants....
I have a new event this coming Sunday! It the "Godshill Massive 5k Obelisk Run" in aid of the local Donkey Sanctuary (all entry fee going to them) only £5 to enter no medals just a bit of fun but prizes for top 3 and also top 3 dogs!! 😊
Godshill Massive is our local trail running gang lovely bunch and we wear purple t-shirts with funny mottos and yellow and purple stripey socks!! It's going to be fun , the obelisk is a point on the Island where you can see both freshwater and Sandown it's great up there! will report back!😊

Hi gang - with just a couple of weeks to go to my first race, the Cardiff 10k, I have taken the plunge and signed up for a HM! It's my local one in Reading, which will be on March 17th next year.
Having dithered for about a month now, I've just signed up for the Great South Run on 21st Oct. Managed 11k today - my longest run to date - so hoping I can get to the 10 miles in time, uninjured! Felt great this morning until it dawned on me that I need to add a whole other 5K to today's distance Eek!
I've found that I've been co-erced by a friend into registering for the Windsor Autumn Half Marathon at Dorney Lake on the 20th October. I'm not sure if I'm mad, but have a training programme to get my distance back up to where it was before all the hot weather started. I won't be fast but I hope I will be able to finish it.

If you are using the Health Unlocked App I'm afraid the Events list will not be visible to you, but on desktop it can be seen on the right-hand sidebar on the Marathon homepage (or scroll down for it on a mobile browser).
In any case, I will add you to the list and will give you a shout-out nearer the day of your race 😊

Hi, I'm doing the 'Switchback 5' (5 miles/8 km) cross country run in Croydon on 30 September 2018 and 'Croydon 10K' on 21 October 2018. These will be my first 'official' runs so wish me luck!
Hello. It is getting close now so I should post that I'm running my first half marathon next Sunday in Blenheim! (30th September.) 🙀🏃♀️😊 Somehow I've gone from starting 0to5k on the 29th December to running a half marathon 9 months later! Xx
Was supposed to run the Vantaa Half Marathon 13 Oct but running buddy still injured - so I'll save the 55€ entry fee and run my own virtual training HM instead that day!
