So I did my first Marathon on Sunday at Manchester.
I'd been following a 4 runs per week/16 week plan and nailed the training, getting up to 22 miles for the longest run.
Saturday morning I came down with a cold. Persevered and ran a bit slower than my target. All went well until mile 13 when I ran completely out of steam, had to run/walk for a while and perked up a little from 18miles onwards.
Really happy I completed it as I was doubtful midway.
Feel ok now, ran yesterday with no issues.
Oh, and I've just booked the Loch Ness Marathon in October π

*I typed in monster after Ness, you can look out for it while you are running π π, πΎ
