Returning from injury that I have addressed in many posts on here. Thanks to the magic forum for your support over the past 2 and a bit months.Awareness / acceptance and patience just so important.Someone said on here restraint is a strength not a weakness.π
Achilles back to normal and my inactive and consequential stiff hip again free.
Having been well looked after by two physios and still under one. I have completed the first 9 runs and 3 weeks of the tried and tested programme and respecting all that is mandatory.
I did that in a sub group of 6 first timers.Very different and very enjoyable.Enjoyed contributing to it. Everyone needs their own space to give themselves the gift of running. It is all there and some more if the individual cares to find it.
I will pursue the remaining 18 runs solo and combine two runs consequitively in one outing / session respecting the adaption and repair days, albeit at a higher muscle contraction and micro tear repair level.
Not at all fool hardy and I can monitor my repair recovery and back off if I have to.
I know the programme is not a race, particularly first time round.I have trialled plenty stuff outside the excellent guidance.I am discovering my capabilities and interested in trialling stuff.I do realise that relative overuse to even a slow trotter is a factor in staying injury free.
Go the magic forum, go all the folks that have given themselves the gift of running and to the people yet to give themselves this running gift and find the magic forum.
