My 8 week marathon training was interrupted by the snow. But have I done enough? I have signed up for the Longhorn so tomorrow I intend to try a bit harder. Minimum 28 km non stop complete with gels, food, water (too much I expect .. ). I recon this is the time were I have to" put my feet where my mouth is". Water won't be needed on the day. But tomorrow it's just Rita and me. Wonder if she would buy me the Hoodie for my birthday.

Tomorrow at 0630.
I'm looking forward to a picture of you in that hoodie.
Have a great run today 😎
Have a great run! Don't put your feet in your mouth
I hope it has gone well!
Non-stop sounds a bit hardcore. I stop when I need to, breath back, and set off again
You get food at the longhorn too! Jaffa cakes, choc brownies, flapjack that sorta thing 😋
8 weeks training doesn’t sound much for a marathon. I allowed four months, mind you it did seem to go on forever. The guy on the Audiofuel marathon training podcasts tells us not to run beyond three hours in training, as after that you’re not gaining anything. Save it for the day 🙂
Good luck with the training run 💪😃🏃♀️🏃♂️👍
Which podcast is that please? Just had a look on iTunes but couldn't see one for audio fuel marathon training. Thanks

Oops soz for not replying! I got the two. First and second hour. The voice coach is good on long runs 😃👍🏃♀️
Having changed the Tom Tom over to miles. I managed 15mils before the rain started. My "test track" is more like running up the Brecon Beacons with a bunch of squaddies , than running a nice off road marathon. So its good practice for Longhorn. The last 5 was hard work ( I had forgotten my PD medication. ) So callled it a day and went home.
Memo to self .. put your bloody pills in your belt with the gels and sweeties. Dimlo.
You did some good work though Mike and it’s all grist to the mill. Then rain today ! 😫
Best laid plans ey 🙄. I always forget something 😁. I once packed a race bag and left it in my kitchen 😁
