Aaahhhhh, I can’t believe how the Half Marathon has sneaked up on me and is tomorrow 😡😡😡 I lost 5 stone and started C25K last spring 2020 , ran a 10k race in Nov 2020 and then decided to up the miles!!!

It’s my first ever proper real life run and I’m getting nervous!!! I’m raising money for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland so alot of people know I’m doing it πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜¬πŸ˜¬

Any last minute tips or advice? Thanks πŸ˜ŽπŸƒπŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‰

Enjoy the half marathon! Soak up the environment and don’t stress about your time. Start slow. You’ve got this! 😊πŸ’ͺ

Nerves are all part of the experience and will give you added energy come race day πŸ’ͺ so embrace them and use the feeling. Once you’re actually there at the start line, you should feel the excitement rise. This is fun after all πŸ€—

Prepare as much as you can today/tonight. Decide what you’re going to wear, lay it out, charge your watch/phone, prepare your fuel, etc. Don’t worry if you don't sleep well tonight, it’s all part and parcel. In the morning, have your usual breakfast and don’t drink lots of water as you don't want that sloshing around when you run.

You’ve done the hard part and trained for this, so now just go out and enjoy it. Start off slowly and try to settle on a pace and stick to it and forget about the other runners. This is for you and you alone πŸ™‚

It’ll be a gorgeous route so you’ll have the distraction. Just think you’re an extra on Game of Thrones πŸ‰ πŸ˜‚

Your weather looks pretty perfect so that’s good.

There are a few of us with races tomorrow so we’ll all be thinking of you and cheering each other on.

Good luck and enjoy it and come back here to show us the bling! πŸ…
