Love running hate apps

Lovely varied run this morning, couldn’t believe how good I felt at the end, which is great...

Really not enjoying using apps though. At present neither Strava or MapMyRun are working for me, so is time to stop stressing and run without them. Anyone else come to this conclusion? Happy running everyone :) 🏃🏼🏃🏼🏃🏼

Is this because GPS is spotty in your area?

Stopping stressing sounds good to me anyway - enjoy your runs! :)

It may be due to patchy GPS, although it seemed to work for ages and then has a period of not working at all, hey ho :)

I had an ongoing problem where my phone wouldn't find GPS at the start of my run, so I would give up and it would eventually pick it up a couple of km in, which was really irritating. Tried all the suggested fixes, didn't work. But then I had a run of success if I left my block by the back door and connected there. So now I always start my runs back by the garages, it's almost a superstition, and I'm so not superstitious! Should probably chill as you suggest, but I do like to keep a record of my runs :)

I agreee with not stressing. I love Mapmyrun, but I know when to ignore it.

I never track runs at all anymore. If I need to run a certain distance I plan my route. Start and end time i can tell from loking at watch. I am not training for competitive running so checking my data for splits etc is of no real use at all

I just set the time on my famous kitchen timer. Has never let me down except once when I crammed too many things in with it and something pushed the off button.

That was a hell of a long and exhausting run that day! 😂😂😂😂😂
