Time to dust off your squatsuits, don your posh hats and shut the cat in the cupboard. It's Week 4 Day 4 of Thee Mighty Skwaat Challenge, and trust me it's a doozy today. You will look at yourselves in a whole new light, friends and colleagues will have a new found admiration for the way you hold yourself and the value of your home will increase by 7.3%

Ha, I'm behind this week because I was at the mother-in-law's on Sunday, but I'm happy to wait for this one :)

I noticed today as I get lower to the gutter my knees are getting as forward as my toes. What am I doing wrong?

bending forward with your knees. Push your butt back more. If you need to balance more, push your knees outwards as you go down, rather than forward. That said as long as they do not overshoot your toes it is not too critical.

When you watch the filmed sets back, can you see the point at which your knees start going forward? What else is happening at that moment?

Ok I am not pushing my butt back enough when I start out into the squat. I snuck 15 squats in whilst collecting stock from the storeroom and it felt better. My first squats were lazy leg squats. As my balance goes I am moving forward so I will try moving knees outwards. Still a work in progress!!

Try going back to the box squat to get back into the habit of 'sitting back' rather than 'squatting forward'

Yes! Funny enough I went to sit on a chair and had to get up before I reached it thus realising my squatting mistake! I am back on it.
