Does anybody know of a training plan to do a pace to complete the marathon and not a fast time. the only plans I find are to do a fast time. I want to do a Survival pace and to prepare for the mental distance.

Survival pace training plan

I have found a great strategy plan to finish the marathon wanting to run walk: ironmate.co.uk/sites/defaul...

I ran out of mental energy and stopped training for a couple of weeks close to the end of the training for my first marathon. When I eventually found the will to continue, it was very much a matter of survival rather than pace. So I picked up a copy of Jeff Galloway's marathon book, skim red it, and then trained run/walk for a few weeks before finally completing and surviving the marathon using run/walk.
Interestingly, my race time was only 15 minutes slower than the target I had (stupidly) set myself when I was training with non-stop running.

I dont generally follow plans as I am not good at sticking to them. So when I did my first marathon I wrote down what i DID do to show what can be achieved and this is my report of what I did which may or may not help?

Oh thanks Ju! I shall read that. I need all the help I can get! I always walk on my runs or I'd never get through em.
I have new marathon socks! That'll do it!
