It was a little over a year ago that I started the C25K, very overweight and found running on the roads so much tougher than on the cushioned treadmill at the gym. And it was about 6 months ago that I declared to the world, (well wifey, kids and people reading this forum) that I had entered the Brighton HM & Brighton Marathon.
Well I'm proud to say that I ticked one of those off the list of things I've always wanted to achieve on Sunday. Completed the Brighton HM in 2hrs 26 mins. 36 secs. I set myself a target which I thought was realistic of 2hrs 30 mins. so I was over the moon with that. And got a nice bit of bling to add to my collection
I did think straight afterwards that there is no way I can do the longer distance but a couple of days later am thinking (with the help of some wise words from Mrs Jack) I know I can do it, even if I have to run/walk the last few miles.
Well done to anyone else who run on Sunday in Brighton

Well done! Great time - and I am sure you will be fine for the marathon :). I'm doing my first on the same day so I'll think of you as I make my way around!!!
