Hmm, this forum has invited me to introduce myself. I feel a bit out of my depth having only just finished the C25K programme. So I think I may be more of a lurker than an active contributor to this forum. I shall read your posts with awe and wonder and maybe in a few years time I shall be in a position to actively contribute!

Introduction
Welcome! There is also a 10k forum - just an even bigger family (and several of us lurk on them all)! I graduated around 30 weeks ago, so still a relative newbie too. I just carried on running 3 X 30 mins per week, then did a slow 43 min 5k. After that settled into 3 X 5k - whew that was a slog! Just look after ur legs, keep in rest days and make small increases when u r feeling good - I love running in the woods and fields, even hills are good nowadays, welcome 😀
You are very welcome. Congratulations on graduating and do let me know if you have any races planned or milestone runs we can cheer you on with. So exciting to be embarking on new adventures
Dead right. But a marathon is really a very long way in the future. And tbh more likely to be in my next life! (Where I'm going to be a mountain climber by the way!)
always contribute we all need a hug and encouragement and its always good to have fresh ideas or just ask a question if you want too!
Oh and welcome to the group and remember to mention any races you have coming up so we can cheer you along!
Haha Jay I'm right there with you. Currently on the injury couch with a pulled calf so despite trying to run 3 times a week 5k I'm making it worse so off the running for 7 days forced rest. You're right about lurking here, I find it so inspiring, I've been watching a lot of ultra videos and reading a few books, one of my old army buddies did the MDS last year and this yer is doing the jungle ultra so that's something to aim for! You up for it?
