Good morning. I hope you find that Eyelea works well for you. It workes well for me. When I was having Lucentis injections I had them very frequently but now I’m on Eyelea I can go months without a jab, eight months at the moment. Best wishes to you.

Please keep us informed on how well it works compared to regular Elyea. Also, how you felt after the shot & what you were feeling & experiences during the first 24 hours and 48 hours after the shot. I take regular Eylea in both eyes every 8 weeks and the first 24 hours after the shots, I feel pain in my eyes plus black circular discs floating around in my vision. Wipes me out for the day after each set of shots every 8 weeks. So I would be very interested in your reactions to this Eylea HD at 8 mg compared to the regular Eylea shot at 2mg.

The black dot, which is just an air bubble that goes away in a day, doesn't bother me as much as the silicone used to make the needle slide, and sometimes gets into eye. I have what looks like a black porthole with a white center floating around in front of my eye for the past 2 years.

OK. Retired130...it has been a week tomorrow since the new med. and everything has been the same as all my other shots. Feeling fine no different and vision all good. Two days later had to go to my regular OD. to get my left eye lens checked ( trial lens put in for vision correction after cataract surgery ) she checked right eye as always vision good pressures good

I started with Lucentis and went to Eylea 2mg. then to Vabysmo stabilized with Vabysmo but still had small spot of liquid and now this new Eylea 8mg. is my 24 shot and all so far so good. I go back in 7 weeks and we will see how the pictures look and let you know.

That’s very interesting. I hadn’t heard about it. I have been getting regular Eyeles in my left eye for about four years. However, my doctor suspended the injections a few months ago as my sight was getting blurrier and he said it could be due to damage due to too many injections and there is no sign of fluid. I’m very nervous about this as I lost the central vision in my right eye about eight years ago when Lucentis stopped working. I was changed to Eyelea, but it was too late at that stage. It would be great if the higher dose Eyelea would last for longer. Let us know how you get on.

Hi there, rigdog52, haven't heard from you since your Eylea HD shot, how are things? When I was first diagnosed with BRVO I was a private patient, only because I didn't want wait up to 4-6 weeks to get an appointment, so my insurance paid to start with, and I had the injections every 16-18 weeks, and things were stable, then after 2 years my insurer said-it's now chronic, we aren't paying any more, and I paid for 2 times before I was put on the NHS list, as the injections had become closer together because of the oedema. They have been every 4 weeks since 2020, and to my mind, seeing the pictures each month, I think it was less successful, which is why I opted for the steroid. We'll see.

Thank you for the reminder, I tend to get to much going on these days, but all went well with the first shot of the Eylea HD so no troubles and with some good changes. The small amount of fluid is still there, but stable and my Grid lines are now all straight which is nice to see. All my numbers are still the same. Eye pressure and vision all normal for me .... So, we went with another shot of the Eylea HD and come back in 7 weeks.

All the best to everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from California.
