AT LAST A RESULT

Finally been to see another surgeon who was on the list Becky gave me he was brilliant very good bedside manner and so easy to talk to anyway have decided to bite the bullet and have Epiretinal membrane surgery with him am mega scared as there are risks have asked for a general which he said he doesn’t usually do but if I want one I can. Surgery booked October 2nd

It's so good that you now have an accurate diagnosis Eyesore and that you are going to have it sorted at last. I know it's easy for me to say but don't be afraid, it sounds at though you are in very good hands. All the very best for the op - at least you won't know anything about it until you come round. Interesting.. I have the same condition, but was told by my specialist that they prefer that I don't do surgery because of the risks..But I'm "only" 51 and I'm still working professionally with graphical user interface design, so I'm kinda tired of not being able to use my right eye.. Your post inspired me to thinking of getting a second opinion.

I do think it depends on the severity mine is driving me up the wall and as it’s not going to get better on its own I think while I’m fit and well I might as well go for it and keep my fingers crossed.
