Antibiotics and injections

When I go for an injection I am always asked whether I am on antibiotics, but I've never (mostly because of being focussed on the upcoming injections) asked why. I am taking a course of antibiotics for a skin problem right now, the course finishes on Monday and my injections are eight days later. Can anyone tell me what the problems might be?

I've been having injections for almost seven years now but I've never been asked that!

I get asked that every time as well, but as I’ve never been taking antibiotics I’ve never thought to ask why. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
