The Gel I use is “Carbomer Eye Gel” my doctor has supplied it but it’s so cheap on Amazon I buy 10 at a time.

I hope this finds you.

Is there a difference between ointments and gels?

I’d also like to know more about the difference between the various eye drops. They all seem to have different percentages after their names. Is this to do with viscosity? It’s just that I find some of them a bit too gloopy and would like to buy some runnier ones. I’m having a difficult time with a sticky streaming eye and daylight has become a real problem so I’m going around with one eye constantly shut! 😉

PS. I have nicknamed this place a “Site For Sore Eyes” 😎

I don’t know the answer to your question but I use two types and the other one I use is Hylo Forte which is thin liquid. It is also supplied by my GP and it’s good probably better for you it’s not sticky.

% usually about ratio of ingredients.

I find hypromellose to be runny.

Don't know if I've mentioned this to you already but teary eye is dry so you need the drops!
