I had some laser treatment for wet AMD. It doesn't hurt at all. All the very best. xx

This is a bit different to laser for AMD. The laswring makes a hole in the iris at the very top of it for extra drainage and this lowers the pressures it works very well for those with high iop or glaucoma.

I hope it goes well I had an LPI done in both eyes in 2016 it’s working well but still need to take eye drops. I had to go back in the next day just to check the pressures again.

Can I ask what colour are your eyes. The darker they are the thicker the iris muscle is.

My eyes are light brown, sort of amber. Yes I do have injections for amd. Why do you ask?

Hi thanks for your reply. I am assuming (maybe) they won’t inject next Tuesday since your having the LPI on Wednesday ( I could be wrong ) and the colour of your eyes will determine the strength of the laser beam yours won’t be a strong as dark brown eyes. My holes are still patent ( open) after 3 years so working really well I think the way of doing LPI has improved so much over time. I am an expert patient by the way just incase you were wondering which has helped me learn so much about my condition through the help I have given to ophthalmologist. Really hope all goes well for you. You will need dark glasses and will need to take eye drops too. If you can’t take steroid eye drops let them know.

Thanks. Thought I'd have a bit longer to get used to the idea, but probably best this way.
