Laser treatment for BVO?: I have Branch... - Macular Society
Laser treatment for BVO?
I have brvo too but too close to the fovea for laser. I was told by my dr that laser works but causes its own permanent damage ( which might not be an issue depending where brvo is sited). Make sure you have info on what it means for your situation.
The macular society may have useful general information too. Good luck going forward.

Hi My hubbie has BRVO and had total loss of vision in one eye at his first bleed over 2 years ago. He’s had 8 injections in all with different spacing between but has now settled into 10 weeks between them. The bleed was quite prolific at one point and the Consultant was going to laser but said it was risky in his case re damage and so as the bleeding diminished he has returned to injections. This pattern keeps his vision around 75% with no deterioration. Appointment for injection next week, changes at the Clinic to Nurse led injectors which my hubbie prefers but he does tend to see the Consultant at his regular reviews, so he feels updated on latest policy.
Good luck in your journey.

Greetings Strawberry4! I have had laser treatment. (I have wet AMD, and a year's course of Eylea injections; first at monthly intervals, then at 2 months). The laser treatment is completely painless, and I had absolutely no after effects. Nothing to fear! All the best!
I am going for an assessment for the results of all my treatment next week.
Hi,
The injections are supposed to nee more effective than laser treatment but it might be a fall back position....
