I went today to have laser treatment in my eye for macular oedema.l was very concerned because on reading about it I had thought it could take about 15 minutes to 40 minutes and could be uncomfortable. It took 5 minutes to laser my eye and was not at all uncomfortable. I have put this on here in the hope that it may help someone else who is concerned about it

Thanks for that Koalajane, I hope all will be well and please let us know how it goes. xx
Hello what is the lazer treatment for and is it private or NHS in the uk my wife has dry maculer degereration and wondered if this is done for this type of eye complaint
Well done, very interesting.
Always good to share. I had laser treatment for high eye pressure which was also painless and speedy.
Thanks for letting us know about the laser treatment, sounds a lot nicer than the Eyelea jabs I have for AMD. Glad it went well for you.
That’s good to know.
Had laser for cloudy cataract replacement lens. No pain at all. After excruciating injection and very bad bleed after my last jag had a smashing we lady doc…..minimal sharp pain and no aftereffects at all. Would feel much less anxious if I could be sure to get her every time. Glad your experience was also unexpectedly a good one. Go well.
Hi, I've been in a similar circumstance for the past few years, and my vision has deteriorated. To rectify this, I started wearing contacts and glasses, but they made me feel uneasy, so I avoided them as much as possible. By undergoing Lasik ( clearviewinstitute.com/ ), I was able to improve my eyesight without the need of glasses or contact lenses. My vision has much improved, and I highly recommend it. I learned about Laser surgery from a friend as it is meant to permanently reshape the cornea. and have turned out to be a life-changing procedure.
