hi I'm Robert I'm 42 for the last three years I have been experiencing the wavy Vision on my left eye I didn't pay much attention to that I thought it would be something that will go away so I didn't bother going to the doctor but about a year-and-a-half ago I started getting the feeling but I was losing my vision little by little so my first visits to the specialist I was diagnosed with CSR first they did a shot my eye so I kind of quit the treatment so after a year and a half my vision has been worse so my fears are has anybody ever got positive results out of shots or see thermal laser I'm just afraid I'm going to have to go
to all of these again

You must return to the eye specialist with the eye condition you describe.
The eye injection is necessary for some eye problems and it is not a pleasant treatment. I have Wet Macular Degeneration in my right eye, and, I admit that many times I felt like not going. But I have kept my appointments because I do not want my vision in my right eye to worsen.
I have been going for injections now for almost three years. It seems as though my life is planned around these monthly injections.
But when I get discouraged, I read this website and feel the compassion and caring in the written messages from the various people who read this website and share similar eye conditions.
Take care of yourself and follow through with medical treatment for your eye. Good luck to you.
Robertca You really must persevere otherwise you will lose sight in the eye. The condition will not right itself unfortunately.
If you experience pain with the injection you can ask if they will try a different anaesthetic drop. Most clinics have at least two. Some use drops together with a numbing injection although I have not encountered that personally in over 80 shots.
After the anaesthetic Betadine antiseptic will be dripped into the eye should you feel even the slightest sensation say so and more anaesthetic will be applied.
If your discomfort is grittiness or soreness post injection you may be allergic to the Betadine (iodine) in which case ask if it can be diluted or substituted.
The longer you have CSR, the more likely it is to damage your retina. I believe anything over a year qualifies it as chronic CSR, which is about the time damage to the retina becomes of concern.
Leaving it a while to see if it clears itself was the usual first line approach, with the use of steroid injections still not vowed for one way or the other. Nowadays, eplerenone is prescribed, which is taken orally – no injections.
Unfortunately, you've left it a rather long time ... and maybe you need a second diagnosis.
Hi Robert I was diagnosed with chronic csr 11 years ago I am funded for pdt treatment and have had numerous treatments I also have other problems it's important you get treatment I am now registered partially sighted. Good luck
Hi, you say your vision is worse after stopping the inj so what do you have to lose by starting them again and giving them a chance to halt the deterioration?
Yes they can be unpleasant but isn't your sight worth it?
I have brvo and without them I would have no sight in my left eye - they haven't stabilized my condition but they have brought me back from the brink more than once.
thanks in advance for the good thoughts I will be fighting to get my vision back has anyone had any good results with the thermal laser I've been reading about that I guess it comes into play when the shots are not effective
