After injection eye pain

I used to have excruciating burning and pain for hours after the injections into both my eyes. Then I bought gel eye drops instead of regular eyedrops. The pharmacist recommended them. I put three in each eye, closed my eyes and rolled my eyes around. Then I took a nap. When I woke up the pain was gone. The pain was apparently extreme dry eye. The gel remains while your eye is closed and soothes the eye. You have to ask the pharmacist or look real hard for the gel eye drops and they are not cheap but they do work for me. A friend tried it and had to apply the drops repeatedly for her first time. They worked for her too.
