Eye drops

Hello, I would like your advice regarding eye drops. I am very myopic and also have cataracts. I use hyabak often throughout the day but my eyes still feel dry and uncomfortable which I think is making my sight even worse! I’m wondering whether I should try longer lasting eye drops. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Waddy72. I have bought and thrown away so many eye drops which I found absolutely useless. I now use Hylo Forte which were recommended by a Uveitis consultant. You can put them in your eyes several times a day even though it states one four times per day and they are preservative free. Once opened, they are good for six months and then must be discarded.

I was speaking at an ophthalmology ever on Friday and Hyloforte was getting some good recommendations

Thanks tallyho, I used to have hyloforte on prescription a few years ago. I recently asked at the chemist and was told hyabak was the new name. I’ve just done a quick search and don’t think that info was right. Will do more digging!
