Had my eye hospital appointment and it’s Vitelliform lesions

Hi all,

I posted previously about seeing distortion in the Amsler grid during a routine eye test.

Thank you for your advice and responses, I had to wait 6 weeks to be seen at the eye hospital so I was feeling quite anxious but I called them to see if I could get seen earlier and they explained that because there were no findings on the OCT scan at the optician, the ophthalmologist wasn’t concerned and six weeks was fine to wait to be seen.

Finally I had my appointment and the ophthalmologist said that I have vitelliform lesions in both eyes, worse in the right which corresponds with the levels of distortion i am seeing.

he said that he is not concerned as these types of lesions don’t normally progress and that I should just check the Amsler chart once a month and go back to the opticians if I see any changes.

In all I feel very reassured, it seems like of all the macular issues this is one of the least concerning but would appreciate any advice or information and if anyone else has these types of lesions I’d love to hear about your experiences.

Thanks!
