Hi, I have received 3 lucentis injections and treatment successful so far. I keen to hear from others with myopic cnv, how long they have been receiving treatment and how successful to date. Guess I'm looking for hope that I may be able to work till retirement age (I'm 48). However I'm aware of changes in my left eye :(, thankfully I have a hospital appointment tomorrow.

Myopic CNV
I hope your appointment went well. I was diagnosed over 10 years ago when I was 26. My last injection being in July 2012. I have worked throughout this time. Work have been supportive providing reasonable adjustments. Best wishes to you.
Thanks for responding - 10 years! That really does give me hope! My wet eye is holding and my left - no fluid showing up in the OCT so nothing they can do but take note that I'm aware of slight distortion and action as & when. My work have been fantastic and are a great support. My fear is that I now only receive injections when a bleed happens and further damage to my eye each time so sight just continually deteriorates! Just wish there was some way they could stop the eye elongating ie take it out & roll it back into football shape rather than rugby!! Lol! Thx A.
Great news about your Oct scan, though I appreciate it's hard to feel reassured if you can see a distortion. you just need to be vocal about any further changes. I have only had injections when I've had a bleed/fluid leek. So can empathise with watchful waiting challenges. Take care J
