Kittykat,

I have the same diagnosis and the same problem with eyes. The blurriness wears off I just have to wait until it does. I've tried various things for the achey problem, the best I have found is carbomer eye gel which is very soothing. Insofar as after 2 years on metho, I can only say my eyes were unpredictable even before any drugs whatsoever, you may just be goiing through a flare with the sjorgens.

Best of luck I hope it soon calms down.

Have you seen the optician? Mine said effects of metho can clearly be seen on a 3d eye scan! If this is the case stopping the metho should reverse the problem. Hope you get it sorted soon :0)

This may be useful.?

I just had a eye test, I must of had about 45 tests so far, and this guy was really thorough, he said my dry eyes where worse as my tear ducts were blocked.

He suggested I lay with a hot flannel over my eyes daily for 10 mins, then massage along both lids, then wipe away along the ridge between the eye and lashes. I have been doing this for a week and a half, the optician said to do it for two to three weeks. I used eye cream when massaging and I'm finding I don't need the eye drops, as my eyes hurt a lot less and I no longer wake with sticky eyes. My eyes are looking less baggy too.

In all my years of wearing glasses and the tests I've had since being on Hydroxy I know I struck lucky to get an optician that was so thorough.

hey kitty,

i was not on the meds that you are however,my eyes would be blurry after any waking and also aching eyeballs.blurred vision could last upto an hour or so.apparently it is due to the immune system damage to the tear ducts. hence why they put a strip of tissue in the eyes to test for how normal the watering works.i tried eye drops but they were very temporarily useful.strange thing is that the last few months both the eyeballs aching and blurred vision has reduced greatly ! so flipping frustrating this systemic thing.it moves around and flares up...then down. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
