Emma, as a runner myself, that is incredible - so well done. I am not diagnosed, but with anaemia, raynauds, mouth ulcers, now just an outstanding ANA (which was positive 6 years ago, but not thought significant), its watch this space for the next few weeks.

I have Brighton marathon in 3 weeks, and with a possible flare (which my GP cant treat without confirmed diagnosis), I have had real real doubts. Your post has given me the motivation to try and keep my training up - albeit at a reduced level, and see how I feel.

HUGE congratulations, well done.

Well done for entering the marathon, I finished my last antibiotics the friday before the run on the sunday not going lie it was sooooo hard but I completed it. I am sure the very fact u entered it means you have determination and thats what got me through. Keep having faith in yourself you have obviously trained for it so have the ability, the atmosphere will get you through the tough parts!! I am ill this week but knew that would happen because I pushed myself but hey thats lupus for you. Good luck you can do it
