I have just had a tribunal and won going from wrag to ESA. It said on the decision notice I had 15 points does anyone know how many points there are? And the tribunal recommends that the department does not reassess me for another 12 months is this the usual length of time or can they give longer between each assessment? My 5 year DLA is up this year so I have that to go through in a collection of months do they not realise that the stress makes everything worse.Hi, everyone I am new to this site but have found it very interesting hope someone can help.

The work-related activity group (WRAG) is one of two groups you may be assigned to when you claim ESA. The other group is called the support group. The difference between the two is significant. So I would say try and get an advice organisation to check that you are in fact in the right group. You need to score a minimum of points to get into the WRAG, but you don't automatically get into the support group if you score higher points. You need to Google 'ESA WCA(214)'. Your list of results should have a pdf 28-page guide to the assessment at the top. If you look at page 17 onwards you will see how they score the points for the WRAG, and if you look at page 25 onwards you will see what the tests are for the support group.

The medical report from your assessment should say how long they recommend you are in the WRAG before you will be re-assessed. They call this your 'prognosis' although it is not a true medical prognosis. A prognosis can be as short as 3 months. Quite often people are asked to go for a reassessment even while they are waiting for their appeal to be heard! Unfortunately the tribunal 's recommendation is not something that the DWP has to follow.
