Numb tongue
I have no idea about this sorry, if it were me I might ring nhs direct and speak to someone there
Hi lets laugh. I regularly get a numb tongue, & it can effect my face too. It can be small areas that come & go, or pretty much all one side of my face. I also get intermittent numbness of my limbs.
There have been posts about this on here previously, so it might be worth doing a search to read other peoples experiences. But I don't remember anyone coming up with an explanation. Although its obviously common with lupus/auto-immune diseases.
My numbness started at the same time as attacks of vertigo, & I had several scans which ruled out CNS lupus. So it's still a mystery for me too. It's definitely worth mentioning at your rheumy appointment. Have you got a date yet?
Hi! I get a numb tongue as well! And burning mouth, swollen lips!! GP has no answer, except that it could be anxiety related....I'm not convinced about that!!
Numbness in the face could be a neck problem.......have you seen an osteopath or chiropractor? x
Letslaugh, I get small blister like bumps on my lips that go up and down, so strange!
