Does anyone suffer with chest pain?
Hi Talula, I suffer with fibromyalgia as well as lupus, and I get this type of thing often. Across my chest muscle area, muscles in my upper arms and around hips are the worst, and will very often have me prowling (this is how my husband describes it!) around the house in the early hours.
Would be worth a mention to your Rheumatoligist/Specialist Nurse if you have an appointment coming up x
Hi talula,
I get this, it feels like you are having a heart attack. When I went to the specialist lung guy (about something else) I asked him. He said its not uncommon in people that have Fibromyalgia. He said that when you lay down you ribcage changes shape as the muscles and tendons that hold the bones move to fit the position you are in. Then when you sit up the sudden movement of these muscles and tendons moving back is the pain you feel. He suggested that I lay flat for a few minutes and then get up slowly allowing the ribcage to go back to normal position.
If this doesn't help and you still get the pain go to see your doctor.
Wow that is interesting, sounds right. Thank you x
i have that to, finding this year the pain is moving all round my body.
i just use painkillers, warm wheat bags, and gels and sprays to help it.
I get this a lot but don't have fibro, but then again, lupus is a copycat of near on bloody everything ;0)
