heard it too!

my husband was listening to radio 2 while working this morning, and when he came in for lunch told me we had to listen. it was good!

and as my husband has had crohns disease all his life, it was kinda nice (haha) to have the doctor mention crohns as another autoimmune condition. it means a lot when he & i can share moments like listening to that interview...especially after spending 20+ years caring for my hero husband through his terrible crohns flares and major operations.....finally now we know why i've always been so poorly all that time attending so many different clinics for this and that (typically, while being told i just had xyz conditions, and there was nothing abnormal underlying all my conditions etc etc haha). i get the feeling that now he actually thinks i'm a bit of a hero for having coped as well as i have with all my health stuff.

neither of us had even heard of SLE when i finally discovered i'd it all my life in 2010

well, i hope lots of people were listening to that slot on the jeremy vine show, learning more about lupus and autoimmune conditions generally!

its good to know that its being spoken about as its so hard to live with when people dont understand how it affects us.

Hi, I too had to listen to half on i player tonight as I only got half. I feel that at least it is raising awareness. Hopefully this is the start of more information/awareness on it too:)

I too think it was a great pity that 'The only National Charity for Lupus Patients' for listeners to contact wasn't mentioned - but guess people will find the LUPUS UK website on the internet when they look for more info on lupus ..hopefully :)
