I had a bad test result while taking them. Ask them to monitor you monthly with a test to check. I'm still tested when trying different anti inflammatory
I'm gonna keep taking it till I go to rheumy on 22nd then tell her my concerns . I might be able to come off and only go on it when the pain is really bad like the shoulder and neck pain I was having .
As you probably know, if you look at the list of side-effects from *any* medicine, you will find a bunch of really alarming ones. After all, even paracetamol has possible side-effects that include liver failure, and people have died of an overdose of water!
The really bad effects of most drugs are rare, otherwise they would not be licensed. So try not to worry too much - naproxen is used by hundreds of thousands of people and very few get any kidney problems. As you say, the best thing is to take it as prescribed and have a conversation about anything that is worrying you when you next see your doctor(s). x
Oh, I know how you feel. I don't have any magic answers on how to stop worrying; I just try and remind myself that these medics generally know what they are doing and wouldn't give me anything that they don't trust x
Well, there are lots of techniques to help reduce anxiety thoughts, if you want to try them. Calm breathing, meditations, positive thoughts to replace the negative ones, stuff like that?
Hi, I am on so many different drugs about 22 tablets a day now and I'm pretty sure they all have bad side effects but I just cant think of worry too much about that as I need to be on them to help me functionday to day!
It is hard but u have to try not to worry, obviously u need to be aware of the side effects so u know when to potentially stop them or see the gp. I cannot take naproxen as it irritates my stomach so that's a bit awkward as I really could do with taking anti inflammatories! I have to have slow release morphine instead.
I think if u can just get away with taking them when u are bad that would be the best thing.
