Using a computer
I get this too, I think it's the effects of UV rays. My brother, who works in computers, says modern screens don't give off much UV. But my guess is that we are much more sensitive & that sitting right in front of them for all long periods is just not good for us lupies. Have you checked out the Eclipse site, accessible through the Lupus UK site. There is lots of info about light sensitivity on there, & there might be a screen filter you could get to use at work.
Thanks so much....am trying to get my life back on track after Lupus diagnosis and some days it just all seems to stack up....!
The screenfilter Roobard mentions is an excellent idea. However, are you also working under flourescent lighting as many still are? That's a huge no-no for lupies and known to bring on flares. Easier said than done for most but securing work in a place that's naturally lit is a much better choice! Good luck!
Oooooops, forgot to mention energy saving bulbs - another kind of light that can bring on lupus flares. I only use them in parts of the house that I don't spend much time in, like the hall, bedrooms and bathrooms. However, regular bulbs are becoming more difficult to find so stock up if and when you come across any!
