For the last few months I have had really greasy hair. I used to only need to wash it every 2-3 days but now I'm having to wash it everyday and even then it is starting to become greasy before it's washed!! It is driving me mad as I am having a bad flare as it is so having to raise my arms washing my hair and then drying it just adds to my pain! Also I have been having bad breakouts of spots all over my face. They are really sore and swell up into big lumps and take ages to heal and clear up. It is really getting me down I don't really wear make-up but have try covering them with it but it just irritates them and makes them worse. Does anyone else experience these problems? Or is it just me? I don't know what to do to improve it
Also my nails have become quite brittle and the skin underneath seems dry and it often cracks and becomes sore. I have been getting very dry skin on my hands, especially inbetween my fingers. I sometimes get these hard little lumps on my fingertips which first seem like blisters but they are not! Any ideas what is causing these problems? Thanks in advance for any replies xxxx

Megs - the spots could be lupus related? I had a lot that seemed to be bad acne - but they are much better now that my lupus is subsiding a bit. I've also been seeing a dermatologist (my skin reacted very badly to cyclophosphamide) and he says that hydroxychloroquine can be good for lupus skin.
Maybe you can ask when you see your doctor?
Don't know about the greasiness.... I don't have too much hair to get greasy right now, so I'm afraid I can't help with that one!
Thanks for your reply. I have never mentioned the spots to gp or rhuemie (mainly as you have so many things to say in such a short time that other things are more important to discuss!) But they are really getting to me now and not helping my anxiety of leaving the house! Sorry to hear about your hairloss. I have one patch at the back that has nearly all grown back but just found another yesterday. Luckily it is covered by the rest of my hair! Take care xxx
