My GP has done loads of blood tests on me, ive been on Naproxen, Prednisolone and other pain relief. Ive been told i have Arthritris in my left foot, the foot gets hot and itchy and gets very swollen, the same is beginning to happen in my right foot too, both my knee's hurt aswell as both Calfs, my upper arms ache and i cant even change bedsheets nor carry shopping and i feel worn out all the time, my GP has signed me off sick at work for the next month, and GP is having a meeting about me with another GP tomorrow, i am in constant pain and feet are always swollen. Any advice would be helpful.

Do i have Lupus?
Hang in there, it sounds like your GP is on the case and you'll get some answers soon. I'm sorry you are feeling so unwell- be gentle on yourself and rest well xx
Your doctor/s is moving forward with your diagnosis; though I know the waiting is difficult try to be patient. Soon it will be sorted then proper treatment can occur.
What type of arthritis were you told that you have? And yes, you can have arthritis without having lupus.
The two most common types of arthritis are osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Osteoarthritis is usually caused by normal wear and tear, while rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder. Other types of arthritis can be caused by uric acid crystals, infections or even an underlying disease — such as psoriasis or lupus.
Some find relief with water therapy and or physio. Hot and or cold compresses. Over the counter Arnica Gel.
There are other Rx topicals available (Voltaren Gel for OA for example / Lidoderm patches for Neuralgia / many many options).
Speak to your doctor/s about which ones are correct for your specific form of arthritis.
Be well. Carry on.
Thank you to both of you for your reply's, i have the osteoarthritis type, i have to see my GP next week now.
I live in the USA. and I have systemic lupus. I also no of someone that has osteoarthritis. and He is on a drug called Embrel. I know he has to go in and get an infusion. It dont take long maybe a 1/2 hour and I think its only once a month. Also about the lupus, It took them forever to figure out I had it. I even went to a doctor the other day and he said I did not have it! I am like 4 other doctors told me I do! I have almost died from the high doses of steroids they gave me. I left his office I told him I cant handle hearing that! I read tons of medical books but I do know 100% I have S.L.E. but it is very scary because there are so many doc's and people that don't know ANYTHING about Lupus!!! So you hang in there! And don't let any doctor try to down play what you feel!! Take care, and I pray for all of us!! Sincerely. Krisdy
Thank you Kirsty, i am finally being refered to see a Rheumy i just hope the wait aint too long. Take care Kirsty x
