Not the whole arm, but my hands go numb but this is when it's cold due to Raynauds. Take care.
Mine go dead and tingly when I'm in bed quite often. Not a very nice feeling as I used to wake up thinking I'd had a stroke! However the sensation comes back again and I'm assuming it's just some trapped nerve I'm lying on.I should mention it to the consultant but there's that many strange things happening to my body as well as a problem with remembering things I don't want to seem I'm fussing!
Sorry to say this but you should not ignore this, get it checked in case you have had a TIA, I have had 3 and the symptoms don't need to last long. Don't ever feel you are making a fuss. Better to get checked and find it is nothing then regret it. Good luck.
Hi :0), I have been getting numbness all down through my left leg & sometimes my arm, for last few months. I've not had it checked out by a Dr yet, thought it might stop &, or, that it might be a trapped nerve.
Hope you get yours checked out asap & that you let us know what its' dxd as..
Similar thing with you and response from Jaxqueline above, yes please let us know as must times I feel its all in my head, and goodluck to you.

I agree with Gillyg and you should definitely get this checked out. I know it can be difficult especially as the symptoms come and go. It can be very difficult to diagnose a trans ischaemic attack (TIA) or it may be a nerve problem. However 18 months ago I went to my GP with a similar problem along with awful headaches and he dismissed it. I persistently phoned my consultant and even though he thought it was also a nerve problem, an MRI scan confirmed a stroke. I also had an ultrasound of the neck arteries which might be a useful test for you to have. Once I started on Aspirin etc I was fine.
Imillar that ,s what happened to me. I had right sided weakness and went to casualty and I was admitted and after an MRI they found two lesions, I felt lucky, they started me on aspirin and for three years I had no more attacks I have just had another one so they have changed the aspirin to another drug. Ct scans do not always show you need a MRI. Please at least get te symptoms che ked you do not want to live in regret. Good luck.
Hi there
I agree with all of you in that I think it is very important that you get these symptoms checked out. I have been suffering from right sided numbness and pins and needles since I was diagnosed with SLE in 2004 and I am now seen by a neurologist who has diagnosed central nervous system Lupus/ peripheral neuropathy and the other lables that come with it as I also suffer from seizures are neuropychiatric Lupus. I am now on medication which does alleviate some of the symptoms so please as the others suggest - get it checked out.
Hope the docs help you out soon and that you get some relief soon.

being on warfarin for life. Let us know how tou get on wont you.xx
i will deffo get this checked out cos i can barely moving my arm much at the moment, i keep wishing ill wake up and itll be all be ok, but you guys are making me get this checked so ill be on the phone to nurse tomorrow x
Hiya
I get major problems with this so feel for you but this is what i was told when i had carpal tunnel release surgery and was told i have a compressed nerve in my elbow. If you get pins and needles in your thumb, index finer and half middle finger then they told me that indicates carpal tunnel and if the other half of the middle, ring and small finger then that indicates elbow
The only thing i did not do and was told to do was rest it! It's a form of RPI so rest up as much as you can Hope all goes well with nurse tomorrow

Have you ever injured your neck, ie whiplash that can sometimes leave you with arm numbness especially as lupus can cause inflammation of nerves and these can exit c4-6 so a neck injury is possible, a Tia wouldn't last for so long in most cases have you any loss of sensation at fingertips ?
Peripheral neuropathy and/or Raynouds and/or Carpal Tunnel are all possibilities. As is past head/neck trauma. Best to speak to your doctor and get it sorted. Take care.
I get it periodically, shifts from right to left. Also have lost feeling in both feet, from ankle forward. Nerve test show reduces (Duh) sensitivity and conectivity. Consultant thinks it is a combo of the Lupus and 40mg steriods over a long period. Just have to deal with it as it comes
