i used to get a metal taste in my mouth in the mornings or at least a funny taste, and my doc said its possible acid reflux during the night im now having lansoprazole every day and its gone,maybe acid?

Hi yes I did have a 'metal' taste in my mouth but have been on lansoprazole about 6 mths for reflux and I dont think I have had that taste for about 3 mth now, must admit I havent mised the taste. Hope you get it sorted soon

Hi - My metal taste startd after the cyclphosphamide treatment for kidney faliure. I lost my taste for nearly 6 months. it did come back but I now have periods where all I can taste is metal. I deal with this by closing my eyes when eating and remembering the taste. It takes practice because eating is visual as well as taste and texture, but it works for me. They can last up to a week at a time sometimes more, but after 10 years i am used to it. It can also depend what meds you are on. Read the leaflets of your meds and see if you can work out if its the culprit.

I remember getting a strange metal taste every now and then, for a few months before I was diagnosed. I haven't had it since.

hi yes i have that drs say its my sleeping tablet zopiclone but i do believe its another sympton as the more ppl i speak to are on different meds

yes, i have metal taste to my mouth, lansoporazole helped with this, stopped the taste and heartburn for me
